COMMITTEE:
The Continuous Crisis Committee(CCC) is an assumed committee that does not exist in the original UN framework. It introduces new developments and scenarios that will change the flow of the committee at every proceeding. This keeps the delegate on toes, requiring quick decision-making and flexibility. The object of the committee is not merely to understand the past but to actively reshape it through political negotiations, crisis management, and innovative diplomacy.
The agenda aims to address the profound consequences of the decades-long struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union. How the bipolar world order influenced the evolution of military and economic alliances, technological races and proxy wars. Delegates are assigned to examine how the ideological, political, and military confrontations of the Cold War era will shape the global landscape.

Dear Delegates,
Welcome to The Continuous Crisis Committee of SAIMUN-VII. We, as the Executive Board, look forward to having you in this committee for these three days of fun, negotiations and debates.
For those who have never done crisis before, it can seem like a daunting experience. Yes, crisis is vastly different from regular MUN, but for many reasons, this makes it much easier for new or first-time MUN delegates. The rules of procedure are largely relaxed. The success of any delegate in crisis is limited only by their imagination and the speed at which they can respond to the series of crisis developments and updates, not by their portfolio.
Please consider that the following guide, as the name suggests, is merely to provide you with the background of the agenda and cannot serve as the only source of research. Your real research lies beyond this guide, and we hope to see some strong content and debate come our way. We hope that you use the guide as a kickstart for your research and use all the hyperlinks provided. The guide covers every aspect of the functioning of the committee and focuses on providing a brief idea about the agenda.
The guide also provides various points on which the delegates can focus (given at the end of the guide) if their research meets a dead end. Although the Executive Board expects you to shine a light on these given points, we also urge you to discuss and bring various other important points into your discussion from which the committee shall benefit.
Thank you,
