The UNHRC committee, part of the United Nations since 2006, offers an immersive experience as you step into a country’s role to fix major issues and support people during their hardships. Loud debates, teamwork and a realistic approach are to be expected to sharpen your thinking and problem-solving skills. We ensure respect with a bold spirit, creating an active and welcoming space. This committee helps you grasp real-world struggles and craft solutions from the ground up in a serious yet exciting manner. 

AGENDA:

Reflecting on ethnic cleansing in South Asia and the Middle East and protecting minority rights, our agenda addresses families torn apart, people suffering, and groups struggling. We’ll examine ongoing crises, identify root causes, safeguard the oppressed populations, and develop strategies to restore peace and stability across these regions.

Welcome to SAIMUN 2025 – UNHRC! We are delighted and super excited to meet you all for three incredible days full of ideas, teamwork, and action. This isn’t just any event; it’s your chance to step up and make a difference, and we can’t wait to see you in action! Our big mission is “Tackling Ethnic Cleansing and Protecting Minority Rights to Promote Peace and Stability in South Asia and the Middle East.” That means stopping people from being forced out of their homes just because of who they are, whether it’s their religion, language, or culture, and making sure everyone gets to live safely and fairly. You’re the leaders who’ll help places like India, Syria, or Iraq find peace. Yes, it’s a tough job, but we know you’ve got what it takes!

If this is your first MUN, don’t worry at all! Think of it as a fun experience where you get to be a leader of a country. You’ll talk, share ideas, and solve problems with new friends. We expect a lot from you—bring sharp, quick debates and smart plans to fix these issues fast. Keep your discussions short and strong so everyone feels the UNHRC’s power.
